This year, our Primary One students do not have traditional summative assessments. Apart from Chinese and English speaking and listening evaluations, all other lessons focus on diverse activities to strengthen learning.
As part of the Kadoorie Farm “Experiential Nature Literacy Education Program,” today (17/11) our Science teachers led Primary One students out of the classroom to become little “Environmental Detectives”! Together, they explored Shing Mun River and Sha Tin Park to investigate the local environment.
Through hands-on experiences, students learned about the unique features of the Shing Mun River area. They also observed different animals in their natural habitats — including rare and precious species such as the Little Egret and Short-nosed Fruit Bat!
With the sun shining brightly, our students were fully engaged and joyful throughout the trip. It was a fun and fulfilling day, filled with discoveries about animals and the environment.
