In 1990, we established the Chinese Music Group, aiming at facilitating students to achieve a balanced development in education and providing them with a variety of musical activities. In 2001, the Chinese Instrument Band and the Chinese Orchestra were formally established with the subsidy of Quality Education Fund. They are: Yangqin, Pipa, Zhongruan, Liuqin, Guzheng, Erhu, Dizi and Cello. After more than 10 years of development, our students not only have more understanding about the Chinese musical instruments but also learn more about the Chinese traditional cultures. Moreover, it also helps nurture students’ interest in music and provide them opportunities to explore their potential. Every year, our school organizes performances in the community and actively participates in various Inter-school Music Competitions in order to broaden our students’ horizons, facilitate them to learn from other schools and enhance their accomplishments in artistic development.
